Mental Health Clinician and Social Work
I am a registered British Columbia Clinical Counsellor #2969 specializing in Residential School Survivors trauma and First Nations issues. I am a basic level one trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR promotes healing from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and is clinically proven to assist trauma survivors. I have a private practice that is accepting clients at this time.
I have a Masters Degree in Education specializing in Counselling from the University of Victoria. I attended the St. Joseph’s Mission in Williams Lake in my formative years and through that experience I became deeply interested in how trauma affects individuals, families and communities. I am committed to working with individuals from a strength based practice and to help them to achieve peace and healing that we all deserve. I have also written and recorded First Nations Meditations and incorporating these into treatment plans.
